Killarney Credit Union have been informed that there's currently an email phishing scam targeting credit union members throughout the country.
Members who have been targeted will receive an email from the email address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or one similar to this. The email will inform the member of a file named "Payment Confirmation" that's been transferred to them through a site called WeTransfer, by what appears to be from Killarney Credit Union, and will be encouraged to click to download the files.
This scam is designed to collect members' personal details with a view to gaining access to personal financial accounts.
Please ensure that that you do not open unexpected emails from Killarney Credit Union with this type of content. Avoid opening any attachements that you are not sure of, please contact the credit union directly to confirm the sender details if you are unsure.
