There was great excitement in Killarney Credit Union last Friday 3rd June when the four winners of the credit union mascot competition received their prizes.
The mascot naming competition had nearly 70 entries and the winning name selected was a popular choice with 4 winners naming the mascot ‘Rua’.
“Rua the red deer will play a big part in our youth activities in the future and will be visiting schools in September encouraging our younger members to be part of Killarney Credit Union” stated Joy Clifford, Youth Officer, Killarney Credit Union.
The winners of the competition were Kate Barry, Isabella Dennehy, Caragh Lynch and Jeff Power who attended with their parents and family to receive a goodie bag.
“We are also now welcoming our younger members to enter our Mascot colouring competition, the entries will be displayed in the credit union offices and the best coloured picture will win a prize” stated Ms Clifford.
The picture to be coloured can be picked up at any of the credit union branches and the winner will be selected at the end of June.
